After a design attributed to Daniel Janssens (1636-1682)
Woven at the workshop of Michiel (d. 1679) and Filips (1617-1679) Wauters in Antwerp
The subject taken from book 10 of Ovid's Metamorphoses
Tapetsries of the same design are held in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago (ref. no. 1953.303), Cotehele (NT 348258.1), and the Princes of Waldeck and Pyrmont, Germany.
